Second-chance employers near Madison - any advice?

A few employers in Madison say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. The HR contact was kind and direct. Did they ask about it in the interview?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
