Second-chance employers near Madison after 7 years as an accounts payable clerk

A few employers in Madison say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. There are 7 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. They still run a background check later but consider it case by case. Any other leads?

Be honest, brief and forward-looking when you talk about it. They care more about what you did since.
