Second-chance employers near Detroit - what worked for you?

A few employers in Detroit say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. There are 10 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Pay starts at an hourly rate with benefits after 10 months. Any other leads?

Ask the workforce centre about bonding programmes. They sometimes help employers feel comfortable.
