A few employers in Detroit say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. I am in Detroit, in case local advice matters. Pay starts at an hourly rate with benefits after 15 months.

Ask the workforce centre about bonding programmes. They sometimes help employers feel comfortable.
