Second-chance employers near Dallas - what worked for you?

A few employers in Dallas say they hire people with a record, including a manufacturer and a warehouse. I do not usually post, so bear with me. Pay starts at an hourly rate with benefits after 11 months. Did they ask about it in the interview?
