Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent - what worked for you?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Boise that might lead to something longer. I worked as an administrative assistant before this. I would like to avoid a gap in my résumé. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Ask early about permanent openings. Some teams fill them from their seasonal list.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
