Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent - what worked for you?

A retailer and two warehouses near Madison are hiring seasonal staff. I am in Madison, in case local advice matters. I would like to avoid a gap in my résumé. Is it worth applying to several at once?

Ask early about permanent openings. Some teams fill them from their seasonal list.
