Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent - what worked for you?

A retailer and two warehouses near Birmingham are hiring seasonal staff. It has been weighing on me all week. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

I was converted after one season because I showed up every day and volunteered for extra shifts. Managers remember that.

Apply to several. Start dates and schedules change quickly and having options helps.
