Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent - what worked for you?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Sacramento that might lead to something longer. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Ask early about permanent openings. Some teams fill them from their seasonal list.
