Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent - what worked for you?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Kansas City that might lead to something longer. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Hours ramp up in the coming weeks. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Ask early about permanent openings. Some teams fill them from their seasonal list.
