Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent - what worked for you?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Dallas that might lead to something longer. I have been trying to stay organised about it. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
