Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent - what worked for you?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Buffalo that might lead to something longer. It has been weighing on me all week. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Is it worth applying to several at once?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 11 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
