Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent (update)

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Chicago that might lead to something longer. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Which employers treat seasonal workers well?

Apply to several. Start dates and schedules change quickly and having options helps.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 10 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
