Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent (update)

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Chicago that might lead to something longer. Thank you in advance. I would like to avoid a gap in my résumé. Is it worth applying to several at once?

I was converted after one season because I showed up every day and volunteered for extra shifts. Managers remember that.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
