Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent - any advice?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Kansas City that might lead to something longer. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Which employers treat seasonal workers well?

Ask early about permanent openings. Some teams fill them from their seasonal list.
