Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent - any advice?

A retailer and two warehouses near Boise are hiring seasonal staff. I am in Boise, in case local advice matters. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Is it worth applying to several at once?

I was converted after one season because I showed up every day and volunteered for extra shifts. Managers remember that.
