Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent - any advice?

A retailer and two warehouses near Austin are hiring seasonal staff. I worked as a mechanic before this. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Ask early about permanent openings. Some teams fill them from their seasonal list.
