Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent - any advice?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Charlotte that might lead to something longer. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Hours ramp up in the coming weeks. Which employers treat seasonal workers well?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 2 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
