Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent after 12 years as an HR coordinator

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Phoenix that might lead to something longer. Any experience at all would help. I would like to avoid a gap in my résumé. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Ask early about permanent openings. Some teams fill them from their seasonal list.
