Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent after 12 years as an accountant

A retailer and two warehouses near Minneapolis are hiring seasonal staff. It has been weighing on me all week. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
