Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent after 12 years as a mechanic

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Seattle that might lead to something longer. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I would like to avoid a gap in my résumé. Is it worth applying to several at once?

I was converted after one season because I showed up every day and volunteered for extra shifts. Managers remember that.

Ask early about permanent openings. Some teams fill them from their seasonal list.
