Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent - 9 months and counting

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Raleigh that might lead to something longer. I am in Raleigh, in case local advice matters. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Keep a list of supervisors' names. A reference from one of them helped me land my next job.
