Seasonal jobs that might turn permanent

A retailer and two warehouses near Charlotte are hiring seasonal staff. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I would like to avoid a gap in my résumé. Which employers treat seasonal workers well?

Apply to several. Start dates and schedules change quickly and having options helps.

I was converted after one season because I showed up every day and volunteered for extra shifts. Managers remember that.
