Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? - what worked for you?

A retailer and two warehouses near Boise are hiring seasonal staff. I worked as a nurse's aide before this. Hours ramp up in the coming weeks. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

I was converted after one season because I showed up every day and volunteered for extra shifts. Managers remember that.
