Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? - what worked for you?

A retailer and two warehouses near Sacramento are hiring seasonal staff. Hours ramp up in the coming weeks. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
