Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? - what worked for you?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Buffalo that might lead to something longer. It has been weighing on me all week. I would like to avoid a gap in my résumé. Which employers treat seasonal workers well?

I was converted after one season because I showed up every day and volunteered for extra shifts. Managers remember that.

Ask early about permanent openings. Some teams fill them from their seasonal list.
