Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? - what worked for you?

A retailer and two warehouses near Dallas are hiring seasonal staff. This is my first time dealing with any of this. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Which employers treat seasonal workers well?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
