Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? - what worked for you?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Fresno that might lead to something longer. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. Hours ramp up in the coming weeks. Which employers treat seasonal workers well?

Apply to several. Start dates and schedules change quickly and having options helps.
