Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? - what worked for you?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Dallas that might lead to something longer. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. Hours ramp up in the coming weeks. Which employers treat seasonal workers well?

I was converted after one season because I showed up every day and volunteered for extra shifts. Managers remember that.
