Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? - what worked for you?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Oklahoma City that might lead to something longer. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I would like to avoid a gap in my résumé. Which employers treat seasonal workers well?

I was converted after one season because I showed up every day and volunteered for extra shifts. Managers remember that.
