Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? (update)

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Detroit that might lead to something longer. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I would like to avoid a gap in my résumé. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Ask early about permanent openings. Some teams fill them from their seasonal list.

Apply to several. Start dates and schedules change quickly and having options helps.
