Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? (update)

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Austin that might lead to something longer. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Apply to several. Start dates and schedules change quickly and having options helps.
