Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? (update)

A retailer and two warehouses near Minneapolis are hiring seasonal staff. I am in Minneapolis, in case local advice matters. Hours ramp up in the coming weeks. Is it worth applying to several at once?

I was converted after one season because I showed up every day and volunteered for extra shifts. Managers remember that.
