Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? - any advice?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Memphis that might lead to something longer. I am in Memphis, in case local advice matters. Hours ramp up in the coming weeks. Which employers treat seasonal workers well?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
