Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? - any advice?

A retailer and two warehouses near San Diego are hiring seasonal staff. I do not usually post, so bear with me. Hours ramp up in the coming weeks. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

I was converted after one season because I showed up every day and volunteered for extra shifts. Managers remember that.
