Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? - any advice?

A retailer and two warehouses near Cincinnati are hiring seasonal staff. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I would like to avoid a gap in my résumé. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Ask early about permanent openings. Some teams fill them from their seasonal list.

Keep a list of supervisors' names. A reference from one of them helped me land my next job.
