Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? - any advice?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Tucson that might lead to something longer. It has been weighing on me all week. I would like to avoid a gap in my résumé. Is it worth applying to several at once?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
