Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? - any advice?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Portland that might lead to something longer. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Is it worth applying to several at once?

Ask early about permanent openings. Some teams fill them from their seasonal list.

Apply to several. Start dates and schedules change quickly and having options helps.
