Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? - any advice?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Memphis that might lead to something longer. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Which employers treat seasonal workers well?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 11 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
