Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? - any advice?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Spokane that might lead to something longer. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Hours ramp up in the coming weeks. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

I was converted after one season because I showed up every day and volunteered for extra shifts. Managers remember that.

Apply to several. Start dates and schedules change quickly and having options helps.
