Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? after 6 years as a welding apprentice

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Dallas that might lead to something longer. This is my first time dealing with any of this. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

I was converted after one season because I showed up every day and volunteered for extra shifts. Managers remember that.
