Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? after 6 years as a payroll clerk

A retailer and two warehouses near Buffalo are hiring seasonal staff. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. Hours ramp up in the coming weeks. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 10 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
