Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? after 14 years as an electrician's helper

A staffing agency says some roles convert to permanent after 14 weeks. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
