Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year? after 13 years as an administrative assistant

A retailer and two warehouses near Baltimore are hiring seasonal staff. It has been weighing on me all week. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 14 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
