Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year?

I am looking at seasonal jobs around Atlanta that might lead to something longer. I worked as a pharmacy technician before this. I would like to avoid a gap in my résumé. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Apply to several. Start dates and schedules change quickly and having options helps.
