Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year?

A retailer and two warehouses near St. Louis are hiring seasonal staff. There are 14 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Is it worth applying to several at once?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
