Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year?

A retailer and two warehouses near Minneapolis are hiring seasonal staff. There are 5 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Hours ramp up in the coming weeks. Which employers treat seasonal workers well?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
