Seasonal hiring: what is paying well this year?

A retailer and two warehouses near Omaha are hiring seasonal staff. It has been weighing on me all week. The pay is hourly with weekly deposits. Has anyone been converted to permanent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 12 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
