I found several remote customer-support roles that do not need a degree, and I have applied to a few as a bookkeeper. I worked as a bookkeeper before this. The schedules are set in advance, including some weekends.

Legitimate ones never ask for money up front. If they ask you to buy equipment first, walk away.
