Public-sector jobs open for Tucson residents - what worked for you?

The city and county near Tucson both posted administrative and maintenance openings this week. Hiring is slower than private jobs. How long did it take to hear back?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
